9 Months and Finally Moving

<

I took Beckham in for his 9 month checkup last week and this time the doctor called him a "Moose". He weighs about 24 pounds and is a little over 30 inches tall. At least he is in proportion, all his numbers were in the 95-100 percentile. He is still not very Mobil but, he did start scooting forward last week. He is trying to break two teeth on the bottom which explains his slobbery shirt.

Everything Goes in the Mouth

Lately Beckhman loves to put everything in his mouth. His favorite objects are the bar on the grocery cart (yuck), wipes, any action figure of Mckay's and of course suckers. He managed to get Mckay's sucker at McKinley's dance review and made quite the mess. When we tried to clean him up he attacked the wipes. Needless to say he was entertained the whole concert.

Beckham Going Down The Slide

While we were in Mexico DJ took a lot of pictures of Beckham. Here are some of him going down the slide.

Judging by these pictures, I don't know if he liked it???

It looks like he recovered!

Trip to Mexico

We just returned from our wild trip to Mexico. Jason and I took Mckay and Mckinley and went with my sister Michelle's family and my mom to Playa Del Carmen. Our trip started with a little bad luck. It all started with our passports. After many long phone calls we finally received them a couple days before we were to leave. My mom never got hers and had to schedule a quick flight to Aurora, CO to get hers the same day. On our way to Denver it snowed. Crossing through the Rocky Mountains in a snow storm is not fun. At Vail we had winter white out conditions which made for a scary trip. We finally arrived at Kyle and Aly's and I thought our troubles were over. We got on the plane at 7:00AM and sat on the runway for two hours when they decided that our plane had a generator problem. We didn't leave for Cancun until 4:30PM. Instead of Lying in beach chairs soaking up the sun we slept on the hard floor of the Denver airport. After 7 hours, I think we explored every corner of the airport.

After a rough start we did make it to Cancun and had a wonderful time. The kids enjoyed the beach and the pool. We went on a ATV excursion and rode 12 zip lines. We even zip lined into a Cenote ( A fresh water like pond that connects underground to the ocean) which dropped off about 20 feet. We mountain biked in the jungle and ran the streets of Playa Del Carmen. We snorkeled an under ground river that connects to the ocean and body surfed the waves. Our hotel provided constant entertainment and the kids got to eat all the ice cream they wanted. The kids participated in a production of Grease at the nightly entertainment, they loved it. Jason visited the Mayan Ruins and thoroughly enjoyed himself. Doug even got him to jump off a few cliffs. We had such a fun time. It was fun to explore the different culture and relax. Jason did lose our camera on his Mayan ruins Trip, so the pictures are courteous of Doug.

Easter Weekend

We had a great weekend. We first had Grandma and Grandpa Barney here. They came on Thursday to get some dental work done. We kept them busy. We went to soccer practices, baseball practices, soccer games, a Coed softball game, and shopping. We were tired. We colored Easter eggs on Friday night and Mckinley and Grandma Pat decorated Easter cupcakes at the neighbors. On Saturday we Had Grandma and Grandpa Erickson in town. Mckay played his first baseball game and he did really well. He got a great hit to right field. He also had a soccer game and did well. Mckinley had a soccer game on Saturday and scored 10 goals. She yelled over to us and said "I have 5 more goals to score and then I will be done". On Sunday the Easter Bunny brought Mckay a pitch back, Mckinley a soccer goal, and Beckham clothes( I know not very fun). We had dinner at the Chapman's and a Easter Egg hunt. I have left a few pictures of our wild weekend.

Trip to Breckenridge

This past weekend a group of us went and stayed in the Keith's cabin in Breckenridge. A few people went skiing and others went shopping. The kids loved the Gondola ride, Recreation center, and the cabin's hot tub. It was fun and crazy to have all 28 friends under one roof. We all survived. I have enclosed a few pictures to highlight our trip.

Mckay's mouth surgery and Beckham's messy face

McKay had a gum graft a week or so ago. He was so good and hardly cried. The Doctor said he was better than most of his adult patients. We have had quite the adventure with McKay's teeth. From previous photos you have probably noticed McKay's face mask and retainer that he wears every night. Good thing Jason is a dentist.
The other pictures are of Beckham eating some biter biscuits. I think this will be his last time with these because they made quite the mess. But, he loved it and was quite happy.

Sunshine Tournament

We had such a great time in St. George over the weekend. The weather was nice and the baseball games were fun. It was good to see friends and family. As Jason put it,
"With friends from Spanish Fork, we never miss a beat, we pick up right were we left off." Mckay, Mckinley, and Beckham loved playing with cousins at the Abbey Inn swimming pool, playing baseball with friends, and cheering for the Dons. The Dons had a great weekend and won the tournament for the third year. We were proud of Tyler, as he was the tournament MVP. He had a great weekend and it was exciting to see all his hard work payoff. Between my children and the Pintar children, Tyler had a loud cheering section. Mckay was so excited, he went on the field for a team meeting and the award ceremony. He thought he was a part of the team. When they announced Tyler as the MVP Mckay looked at his dad, through his arms in the air and shouted "Yes". Needless to say all the Barney grandchildren were very excited.
It was great for our family to be part of Sunshine Tournament. Jason is so excited for baseball season and to watch Tyler he is contemplating early retirement, well at least until the season is over. The pictures are courteous of Aly Dart.
