Gymnastics with Jess

Most of you know that Mckinley loves gymnastics. She had her last class last week with her team and teacher miss Jess so we decided to take some memorable photos. Mckinley has decided to take a break until we get to Indianapolis so that she can play soccer and T-ball. I just can't handle one more thing this spring. I have to admit with the sale of our home and Mckinleys last gymnastic class I got a little teary eyed as she was saying good bye to her class and teacher. I am going to be a total mess when it is time to say good bye to all my close friends and family.

I am seriously amazed at Mckinley's ability to hang from the bar and touch her toes to her head so I had to record it. I think this would kill me. Maybe, this is why she has rock hard abs and I don't.

mckinley is pretty impressive. how old was she when you started her in lessons? i want to get ella started doing something. i just can't decide what yet. i was thinking about tumbling or dance. these girl activities are hard to decide on. good luck with all the spring activities.

Wow, I am SO impressed by Mckinley! She is really good! Kaitlyn sat on my lap and watched it (which we had to watch 3 times in a row) and she kept saying ohhh... I'm sure Kaitlyn will have to show Mckinley her gymnastic moves when we see you in April.

Wow! She's got skills. She is incredible on those bars. From my memories of the years I took gymnastics when I was small I thought the bar was 1) HARD and 2) PAINFUL!

I can't imagine what my abs would feel like if I did a workout like that on a regular basis. It's like a pilates workout to the max!

I am so jealous that you are headed down to the Sunshine Tourney this weekend. What good memories I have of that place. The last time I went was when my brother Brad was a senior and Trey was a baby. SF won the whole thing.

And who could forget the Tracker and the Momma's and the Papa's. When I hear that music I an instantly back to HS driving with you and the other girls. You're right. Those were the good old days!!

Have fun. Post some pictures of your trip. That would be fun. And GO DONS!

Hey Kel,

Thanks for your little note. Sorry, I haven't had my phone on me much lately. I've kinda just been sticking around the house. I have been pretty sick this time, but I'm hoping it'll pass soon. I'm 13 weeks now, so maybe within the next couple of weeks I'll start feeling better!

I am so jealous that you are heading to St. George. We had so much fun last year. I'm not even gonna mention it to Zac or I'll never hear the end of it. Maybe next summer, we can vacation together to Orlando or something. We're going down to Myrtle Beach in a few weeks for a few days, so we're looking forward to that.

I miss you. When are you going to be in Utah this summer?

Love, Aly

Oh, that brings back so many memories of my little gymnastic days...but I don't think that even back then I could have hung from the bar and brought my toes to my head - that's amazing. (and it makes me hurt just thinking about trying to do that!) I think she's got real potential Kel! She's so cute! I've always love that McKinley!

Hey Kellie,

We read online yesterday that SF won the whole thing in front of a standing room only crowd. What fun!

Hope you had a great time. Can't wait to hear all about it!
