Thanksgiving in North Carolina

Last Wednesday we embarked on our trip to North Carolina to visit Jason's sister Lindsay. I have been a little worried about this road trip with Beckham but, he actually did very well. Thank goodness for modern day technology. I don't think we would have made it without "Everyones Hero" (Beckham's new favorite movie, he is always asking to watch the baseball show) playing 10 times and without Gameboys. The ride down took a little over 10 hours and on they way home it was about thirteen because of traffic and a different route through Tennesee and Asheville, NC. It did get a little long on the way home but the scenery through the Smokey Mountains was so beautiful. It was fun to see Lindsay and her family and it is always nice to be with family over the holidays. Jason posing with Mckinley and Lindsays two daughters, Olivia and Kaitlyn.
A highlight of Thanksgiving day was playing games with Grandma Pat. Beckham was quite the whiz at BINGO and wanted to play over and over again. We really didn't think he had that much brainpower!

On saturday we went down to Chapel Hill and saw UNC campus. We walked down Franklin St. and took in College life at UNC. Lindsay and I posing as we walk down Franklin St. Beckham loves riding on Jason's shoulders. We stopped for Lunch at a local Pizza Shop. It was so good and so cheap.

We had a great weekend and there is nothing like 24 hours stuck in a car for some great family bonding. Thanks to Lindsay for hosting us all and making Thanksgiving day so Relaxing and Enjoyable.

Chase loves Everyone's Hero too! He has to wear his Yankee shirt when he watches it!
